An Israeli attack targeted the area of Damascus, Syrian news reported early Thursday.
The official SANA news said air defenses were not activated, noting extensive damage to a village some six miles south of Damascus.
According to reports, Israel launched a surface-to-surface missile from the Golan Heights at 11:35 pm.
