Jerusalem, Israel - Feb. 15, 2022 - On Tuesday, February 15, 2022, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett met with Bahraini Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa at his palace in Bahrain.
Meanwhile, around the Knesset in Jerusalem, Israel, protesters from the Jerusalem Freedom Convoy had moved in and set up tents Monday night. Tuesday vehicles were parked along both sides of the road near the Knesset entrance. The street was blocked yesterday, again today police had marked off the street not allowing additional cars to enter.
Tents were set up, people slept overnight in multiple locations surrounding the Knesset building, one man was overheard calling them numbered neighborhoods. On Ruppin Street, a major road next to the Knesset and across from the Israel Museum, one tent had a wood-burning stove next to it, with a collection of logs ready to keep the fires going.
Food for a late lunch was served on both sides of the street near the Knesset entrance. Boxes of pizza and organic dates, along with tables ladened with lunch items were seen.
Wednesday morning, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is to arrive with a delegation of Members of Congress on a state visit and to speak at the Knesset.
It will be interesting to see if the Freedom squatter tents will be in place for Day 3. On their arrival will the menorah in the traffic circle will be covered in banners and flags and if the parked protest cars will be removed?
