Jerusalem, Israel - Dec. 28, 2021 - In Jerusalem, Israel, on December 28, 2021, "Warrior" / "לוחמת" an exhibit in memory of Hadas Malka HY'D was opened at the Friends of Zion Museum, with Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion, Deputy Mayor Fleur Hassan-Nahoum, former Ambassador Michael Oren, Israeli Police, and Border Police joining the Malka family.

Hadas Malka, 23, of Moshav Givat Ezer in central Israel, died of wounds sustained in a terrorist attack on June 16, 2017, 22 Sivan 5777, outside the Old City at Jerusalem’s Damascus Gate.

Hadas, critically injured in the stabbing attack on Friday evening, was transferred to Hadassah Hospital Mount Scopus where she underwent emergency surgery but succumbed to her injuries.

Thousands attended her funeral, which took place in Ashdod shortly after midnight on June 17th. Among those who came to the cemetery in the middle of the night, along with family and friends, were senior police officers, Cabinet members, and Knesset members.

On Sunday, June 18, then Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu opened the cabinet meeting with the following remarks: "On behalf of the Government and the nation, I would like to send condolences from the depths of my heart to the family of Border Police fighter, the late Hadas Malka. Their grief is our grief; their sorrow is that of the entire nation. Hadas was a young person full of life. She was imbued with a sense of mission of defending the State of Israel. Her commanders and those under her command loved her and trusted her. Like their comrade-in-arms, the late Hadar Cohen, she fell in the line of duty in a determined struggle against bloodthirsty terrorists. Hadas and Hadar, who were pleasant in their lives, were not separated in death. They will remain linked forever in their heroism and their sacrifice on behalf of the nation and the state.”

The exhibit was initiated by her parents David and Geula Malka to illuminate her character, known for diligence and accomplishments. The display is divided into two sections, the first highlights from her enlistment to death and the second after she was murdered. All texts were taken from her Facebook page. The second part is filled with testimonials from soldiers she commanded and the lives she touched.

A life cut short. May her light continue to shine. May her memory be a blessing.
