President and Founder of United Hatzalah Eli Beer praised the work of the volunteers who responded to the stabbing this evening in the old city of Jerusalem and said:
"After the stabbing near the Ateret Kohanim yeshiva, United Hatzalah first responders raced to the scene. Muslim ambucycle EMT Abid Bakir from East Jerusalem picked up volunteer Lior Ben Chaim who lives in Holon but is a Jewish Orthodox yeshiva student in the Old City. Together they raced to the scene in order to treat the injured and save lives focusing on what unites us and not what threatens to divide us."
