Although the UAE’s forces are not taking part in Blue Flag, the chief is visiting as an observer
The United Arab Emirates’ Air Force Major General Ibrahim Nasser Mohammed al Alawi touched down in Israel for a visit during the country’s massive “Blue Flag” military exercise.
Although the UAE’s forces are not actually taking part in the drill, al-Alawi was welcomed by Israel’s military for his first official visit since the Abraham Accords normalized ties between the two nations.
The official was greeted with an honor guard reception managed by Israel’s Air Force Commander Major General Amikam Nurkin at the country’s Palmachim Air Force Base.
