Nikki Haley, the US ambassador to the UN, continued her tour of Israel and spoke with Fox News outside Israel’s Knesset about the dangers of the Iran deal as well as other regional issues.
Haley said that Biden is “trying to buy friends” and stressed that the US must instead take tough stances on issues and gain respect rather than trying to curry friendship at the expense of promoting its policies. Haley made the point that the Iranian nuclear deal is a “death wish for Israel” and explained that former President Trump had held other countries accountable for their actions rather than maintaining friendships for their own sake.
This policy requires the US to actively promote its goals, for example by investigating what went on at the Wuhan lab and whether it was the cause of the coronavirus as claimed by Trump. Placing economic sanctions on China may help to attain these goals.

When Haley was asked about the future of former prime minister Netanyahu, she replied that we should “never count him out” and that he has raised Israel’s level regarding diplomatic, economic and security issues. She added that she had met both with Netanyahu and with incoming foreign minister Yair Lapid and both stressed that the US must not reenter the Iran deal at any cost.
