Baltimore, MD - May 19, 2021 - Commitment to growth, Limud HaTorah, impassioned Tefillah, and communal responsibility are some of the values that motivated the creation of Kehillas Kol Torah, a unique shul that has developed into a communal center for spiritual growth. Kol Torah’s uplifting and inspiring atmosphere functions as a critical facilitator for its mispalelim and the community at large to reengage and reconnect to our values and Avodas Hashem as we strive to reorient to our spiritual lives following the acute stages of the pandemic.

It is no surprise that Kol Torah is colloquially referred to as “Rabbi Berger’s Shul.” The Rov is recognized as a world-class Talmid Chacham whose halachic decisions and eitzah are sought out by both fellow Rabbanim and laypeople alike. Over the course of a week, Rabbi Berger answers hundreds of shaylos and offers guidance to members of the extended Baltimore community as well as community leaders across the country. The shul’s robust out of town membership highlights the profound connections the Rov forges with the shul’s members.

Similar to other shuls, Kol Torah, operates a diverse slate of programming for families. On Shabbos afternoons, there are both Pirchei and Bnos groups, as well as Avos U’Banim and Melaveh Malkas on Motzei Shabbas. During the week, girls participate in Kol Torah (KT) Links learning and social programs and bar mitzvah aged boys have the opportunity to forge their own special kesher with the Rov by learning hilchos tefillin in preparation of them starting this special mitzvah.

Another feature of the shul is its array of chaburos and shiurim that begin in the early morning and stretch late into the evening. Whether one is interested in a more in-depth approach, covering ground, Daf HaYomi, or practical halacha, the shul has a forum for one to further their learning. People are also able to come together and enjoy each other’s company for Thursday night mishmar and cholent.

Kol Torah is a home for newly marrieds, yungerleit, established professionals, retirees, and everyone in between, and they are united by their shared commitment to grow as individuals and as members of the Baltimore community. Under the leadership of Rabbi Berger, the members of Kehillas Kol Torah have built a vibrant connection to Yiddishkeit and HaKadosh Boruch Hu and we look forward to many more years of aliyah.

Please join us in supporting Kol Torah to recognize the strength it provides to the klal and show your appreciation for the Rov by generously contributing to our 48 hour 3:1 matching campaign beginning on Sunday, May 23rd through Tuesday, May 25th.
