Spring's sudden disappearance will extend in Maryland through Friday morning. Much of the state is under either a freeze warning or a frost advisory due to overnight temperatures projected to be in the 30s.
The Baltimore-Washington area experienced a 10- to 15-degree temperature drop in a matter of minutes on Wednesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
Flurries were spotted from Perryville to Baltimore Thursday morning as temperatures hovered in the 30s before rising in the afternoon.
As of 1 p.m. Thursday, weather officials reported it was 44 degrees in Aberdeen, 45 degrees in Gaithersburg, 47 degrees in Annapolis and 50 degrees in Ocean City.

It will remain "unseasonably cold" Thursday in Maryland, the National Weather Service said in a statement, noting more moderate temperatures are on the way this weekend.
