The chief prosecutor in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's corruption trial told a Jerusalem court on Monday that Netanyahu was involved in "a serious case of government corruption."

"The case before the court today is an important and serious case of government corruption," said lead prosecutor Liat Ben-Ari during opening arguments in Netanyahu's corruption trial, which resumed Monday morning.
