Batimore, MD - Mar. 26, 2021:
To our dear friends,
Each year, upon the arrival of Pesach, I utilize the opportunity to reach out and share Pesach greetings and to provide an update on the government affairs work of Agudah Maryland.
As this year finds Pesach’s arrival still in the month of March, the legislative session in Annapolis is still going strong. All of the issues of importance to our community are currently still undecided. We are hopeful and prayerful that bez”H these issues – both those for which we advocate and those we seek to prevent – will end up in our favor!
This year’s session – just like the last twelve months of our lives – has been incomparable to anything previously experienced. We salute our elected officials for their dedication to “doing the work of the people” despite the less-than-ideal circumstances.
Similarly, we salute the leaders of our own community – from the Rabbanim to the heads of organizations and schools, and the countless volunteers – for their unwavering devotion to the welfare of the community over the last twelve months. It has been a privilege for Agudah Maryland to work alongside with them on so many critical and vital matters and projects.
More than anything else, however, is our gratitude for Hashem’s kindness in ensuring that we are healthy and strong as a community, and with the ability to celebrate Pesach in a far more normal manner than last year.
May we all have a Chag Kosher V'Sameach and the most uplifting and enjoyable Yom Tov.
Warmest regards,
Rabbi Ariel Sadwin | Executive Director
Agudath Israel of Maryland - Mid-Atlantic Region
