Prof Ash says decisions on more restrictions lifting to be made after election and holidays

Israel’s coronavirus czar Prof Nachman Ash held a briefing Sunday in wake of the decrease in morbidity rates and the fourth stage of easing measures, but stipulated that the country faces a “challenging time” and therefore, should delay decision making on further openings of the economy.

“The encouraging factor is that the decline [in cases of infections] is occurring despite the broad opening of the economy,” Ash told reports, cited by outlet Maariv.

“The third stage [of exiting the lockdown] was two weeks ago and we still don’t see signs of an increase in morbidity, not in the reproduction rate and not in the number of patients -- and that is very encouraging,” he stated. Read more at i24
