Protests continue for 39th week in a row as March 23 vote nears

Thousands of Israelis gathered on Saturday outside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's official residence in Jerusalem.

The Saturday demonstration against the PM and the government continues for 39th week in a row, weathering through the country's lockdowns due to COVID-19 coronavirus.

The protest began in the mid-day and will last throughout the evening in Jerusalem and on crossroads across the country, with some also arriving at Netanyahu's personal residence in Caesarea.

The organizers estimated the turnout to stand at about 50,000, while Israeli media report on about 20,000 people showing up. Read more at i24
