Israel To Lift More Coronavirus Restrictions On March 7

Pending final govt approval, schools to reopen for grades 7-10, restaurants allowed outdoor dining

Israel will move ahead with easing the COVID-19 coronavirus-induced restrictions next Sunday, the Health Ministry and Prime Minister's Office announced on Monday.

In cities marked as "green" and "yellow," schools will be allowed to resume in-class education for students from grades 7-10; the same will also apply to "orange" zones where at least 70 percent of the population have been vaccinated.

Restaurants will be able to reopen for outdoor dining, seating up to 50 people outside.

Those holding the contentious Green Passports, which can be obtained online one week after receiving the second vaccine jab, will be able to opt for indoor dining as well, up to the cap of 20 patrons in the room. Read more at i24
