Israel's Defense Ministry said no delegations attending due to COVID-19 restrictions

Israel decided against attending the International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi due to concerns of a possible Iranian attack, Channel 12 reported on Saturday.

This year's event, the largest defense expo in the region, was the first one to see Israel, known for its military hardware, invited to attend in the wake of the country's normalization of ties with the UAE.

Multiple Israeli companies, including state-owned giants like Israel Aerospace Industries, were planning to send their representatives to the event in search of lucrative deals.

However, on February 15, the Defense Ministry said that Israeli companies will not be taking part in the arms fair. Read more at i24
