A further week of lockdown to reduce the number of the critical patients by some 100 to 150, Nachman Ash says

Extending the general lockdown by another week, as Israel's government is expected to do on Sunday, would bring about only a very partial decrease in morbidity, the country's coronavirus coordinator Nachman Ash said.

In a talk with members of the Blue and White party, Ash said he expected a further week of lockdown to reduce the number of the critical patients by some 100 to 150, Hebrew-language media outlets reported.

As of Sunday, Israel had 1,204 coronavirus patients hospitalized in serious condition, including some on artificial lung ventilation.  Read more at i24
