According to NBC News, US Capitol police are investigating a report that Maryland Republican Congressman Andy Harris tried to bring a gun onto the House floor Thursday.

NBC News reports that security stopped Harris, who was then immediately turned around.
A Capitol official told NBC News that a security official saw a gun on Representative Harris and told his superiors. That capitol official said Harris did not enter the House floor with the gun. Read more at WBALTV
