"Although many of Sheldon Adelson's activities were in the public eye, he nonetheless embodied the Jewish teaching of 'Say little and do much.' He used his wealth not only to support political causes and candidates, but to anonymously champion many philanthropic ventures that benefited the Jewish and broader community. He touched countless lives, and his legacy will be an everlasting tribute to this great man and his great heart. We extend our deepest sympathy to his wife, Dr. Miriam Adelson, and his family, and pray that they be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem."

The Coalition for Jewish Values (CJV), the largest rabbinic public policy organization in America, articulates and advocates for public policy positions based upon traditional Jewish thought.
