'We must deal one decisive blow to infection rates to embark on a new, virus-free path'
Despite Israel's massive vaccination drive, the country is facing another full-blown lockdown in view of the skyrocketing morbidity, Health Minister Yuli Edelstein said on Sunday.
Israel is currently under a series of partial closedown measures, which leave the education system and entire sectors of the workforce open.

“We’re in the midst of a severe outbreak, likely more severe than the one in early September,” the official said. “We won't be able to avoid a complete lockdown, including of the education system.”
Edelstein spoke to journalists and the public in the predominantly Arab-Israeli city of Nazareth, which he visited to encourage participation in the country's massive vaccination push. Read more at i24
