IDF Reveals It Struck 50 Syrian Targets In 2020

The IDF revealed the number in an annual statistics report released on Thursday

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) revealed on Thursday that it launched 50 attacks on targets located in Syria over 2020. 

Released in an annual statistics report Thursday, the Israeli military said that most of the strikes targeted Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah or Iranian-backed military units in the war-ravaged country. 

One Syrian soldier was killed and three others were wounded in the latest attack attributed to Israel which took place on Tuesday.

The IDF, as per military policy, has neither confirmed nor denied its involvement in Tuesday's incident. 

The report also noted that two attempts by Hezbollah to attack Israel were thwarted by the IDF over the course of the year. 

Focusing on the Gaza border, at least 176 rockets were launched by terrorist organizations toward Israel during 2020, with 90 of the projectiles landing in open fields and 80 being intercepted by Israel's Iron Dome defense system. Read more at i24
