US Customs and Border Protection says policy in effect from December 23, with transition period for relabeling

The US began Wednesday to label products made in the West Bank settlements as "Made in Israel."

The appropriate notice was added by the US Customs and Border Protection into the Federal Register.

The document states that goods produced in Area C as defined in the Oslo Accords and H2 as defined in the Hebron Protocol 'must be marked to indicate their origin as “Israel,” “Product of Israel,” or “Made in Israel.”'

The products of Areas A and B, as well as H2, are to be marked as originating from the West Bank, while goods made in Gaza must be attributed to the coastal enclave. Read more at i24
