Despite morbidity decline, Health Ministry warns of lifting more restrictions

As stores reopened Sunday morning for the first time in nearly two months, Israel’s downward trend of coronavirus cases continued throughout Saturday as only 207 new infections were tested positive.

New data released by the Health Ministry showed that of the 8,310 screening tests conducted, 2.6 percent tested positive, as the test ratio positive remains stable around the two-percent mark.

There are currently 8,638 active cases in the country, among those 319 patients in serious condition -- including 143 on artificial respirators -- 92 individuals in moderate condition and the rest having mild symptoms or no symptoms. Read more at i24
