Moreover, just 21% claimed to understand Health Ministry regulations
More than three-quarters of Israelis do not trust the government over its handling of the coronavirus pandemic, a new poll published by Israel Defense Forces’ (IDF) Home Front Command on Tuesday showed.
The results came in stark contrast to a previous survey conducted after lifting the first national lockdown in March and April, where public trust of the government stood at around 60 percent, Israel’s public radio Kan reported.
As for the current Health Ministry regulations, only 21 percent of the public said they understood the rules, versus 70 percent who claimed to understand the rules during the first lockdown.
While 65 percent of Israelis said they personally fear getting ill with Covid-19, 38 percent of respondents replied that the current situation does not constitute the need for a national emergency. Read more at i24
