Twitter declared that it will follow its social media counterpart Facebook in banning posts and removing content that denies the Holocaust.
“We strongly condemn anti-Semitism, and hateful conduct has absolutely no place on our service,” aT witter spokesperson said in a statement Wednesday, according to CNBC.

This comes as social media sites have received increasing criticism surrounding their lack of content moderation. Facebook, in particular, saw years of pressure to combat Holocaust denial and anti-Semitism on its platform before finally taking action on Monday.
The Holocaust was the systemic persecution and murder of Jewish people by Nazi Germany, resulting in the deaths of approximately 6 million Jews in the 1940s. Read more at The Hill
