BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Police have identified a suspect in an alleged anti-Semitic attack on four Jewish teens at Towson Town Center last week.
A warrant has been issued for Seneca Rice, 34, of Wycliffe Road in Parkville. He is currently in custody in Baltimore City on unrelated charges.
Baltimore County police said the attack and robbery happened at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 9.
"There were 4 teenage boys who were targeted by the suspect who is stole their shopping bags, cell phones, and cash and called them [anti-Semitic expletive]," said county police spokeswoman Jen Peach. "Apparently at least one of the boys was wearing a yarmulke."
Rice is charged with four counts of robbery, one count second-degree assault and various theft charges.
Police said the attack happened "as the juveniles walked out of the side entrance of the mall near Fairmount Avenue and were confronted by the suspect. During the confrontation, the suspect had a knife on his belt as he demanded the juveniles’ backpacks and personal items. At one point, the suspect grabbed the back of one of the victims to prevent him from leaving. The suspect used bias slurs towards the victims during the robbery.
