BALTIMORE — There is a potential for severe storms Thursday afternoon that could last through the Friday evening.
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch for much of the WBAL-TV viewing area until 10 p.m.
By the evening, a band of showers will reach the area and last through the evening and into Friday morning, meteorologist Lowell Melser said. Some of these showers could come with lightning.
There is a possibility of damaging wind, large hail and heavy rainfall.
Another band of strong showers could arrive around midnight and continue into Friday morning.
Storms will dissipate until around 5 p.m. Friday, which could be stronger than Thursday's storms. The weather should be out of the area in the late evening. Read more at WBALTV
