As of Tuesday, 200,000 coronavirus tests have been conducted in Maryland and 3.5% of Marylanders have been tested for the virus, Gov. Larry Hogan said.
The state now has the capacity and supplies to Marylanders who may have been exposed to COVID-19, even if they are not showing symptoms.
At Hogan's direction, state health officials will make appointment-free testing available at community testing sites. Those who believe they may have been exposed can get tested starting Thursday at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium and Friday at converted emissions testing sites in Glen Burnie and Hyattsville. A doctor's order is not necessary and testing is free.
Unter a new emergency order from Hogan, pharmacists will also be able to order and administer COVID-19 tests. Read more at WBAL
