Baltimore, MD - July 31, 2019 - Baltimore City Council President Brandon Scott is releasing his crime prevention plan, including a proposal to allow teens as young as 16 the ability to vote.

His proposal would tackle a number of issues, including gun violence, addressing trauma associated with violence and addiction and creating more work opportunities.

Scott wants to hear from city residents. He will host a series of community forums throughout August. The first meeting will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 8 at Cherry Hill Elementary School.

The plan comes after Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison released his crime plan earlier in July.
