Baltimore, MD - Apr. 15, 2019 - Consumers should be aware regarding the different types of lettuces and other greens being sold in Kosher stores. Not all are certified as being insect free and is so stated on the label. Please read the label carefully to ensure you are buying the right lettuce/greens that you wish to buy. STAR-K only recommends brands that are reliably certified as washed, checked and ready to eat without any further washing or checking needed unless you are properly trained to check and/or prepare them yourself.
All lettuces bearing the STAR-K symbol are washed, checked and ready to eat.
