Baltimore, MD, Sept. 6, 2018 — The Trump Administration expanded its outreach to the Jewish community this year, according to the Coalition for Jewish Values (CJV), a young organization representing over 1000 rabbis nationwide. The CJV was one of several new organizations invited to the President's annual conference call for Jewish leaders for the first time this year.
"The White House chose not only to reach out to us," said Rabbi Pesach Lerner, President of the CJV, "but to include the members of our Rabbinic Circle -- hundreds of rabbis across America -- as well."
On the call, the President highlighted several major accomplishments over the past year, including recognizing Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel, moving the U.S. Embassy to that city, withdrawing from the anti-Semitic UN Human Rights Council, withdrawing from the "Iran Deal," and expelling the last known Nazi war criminal in America.
"Each and every one of these," said Rabbi Yaakov Menken, Managing Director of the CJV, "is something that his predecessors could have done, but did not. And so we owe him our repeated thanks. We were privileged to receive the President's wishes for a blessed New Year."
