The coronavirus positivity rate in Maryland has stayed above 4% for a second day.

On April 18, 2022, the 7-day positivity rate was 4.21%. The previous day, the positivity rate was 4.05%. The last time the positivity rate was above 4% was in mid-February.

According to the state's health department, there were 667 positive tests for the coronavirus during the past 24 hours. 4 more people were hospitalized and 6 people died. 25 adults ICU beds are being used by COVID patients.
