Jerusalem, Israel - Spet. 17, 2017 -mHealth Israel, the largest connected health community in the Middle East, hosted a conference at the Jerusalem Cinematheque on Thursday.

Founded by in 2013, mHealth Israel with more than 4,500 active members, aims to create global awareness of Israel as a world leader in health technologies and actively connect Israeli digital health startups with global healthcare leaders. 

“This is our fourth year running mHealth Israel, and it is incredible to see the growth of the community and the significant global interest in the breakthroughs being produced by our innovators,” said Levi Shapiro, founder of mHealth Israel.  "By bringing together the newest developments in the Israeli mHealth ecosystem, and veteran leaders of international organizations, both public and private, we are helping to accelerate the path towards a healthier future.”

Healthymize, presented in front of a packed conference against eight other start-up finalists, to win a significant prize package to help fast-track their technology to market.

This year’s mHealth Israel Conference attracted more than 500 health tech innovators from Israel, the U.S. and Europe. Speakers included HIMSS CEO, Hal Wolf, Former UK Health Minister Nicola Blackwood; representatives from the French Ministry of Health, Scott Dulchavsky, M.D., Ph.D; CEO of the Henry Ford Innovation Institute and Chairman of Surgery and Surgeon in Chief at Henry Ford Hospital, Gustavo Perez; and CEO, Guided Imaging, GE Healthcare, Merck Principal Alexandra Hoffman. 

Joseph D Burke, Deputy Secretary for International Business Development for Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development attended with Vered Nohi, Executive Director of Philadelphia-Israel Chamber of Commerce, with goals to further bi-national research and development.

Among the conference participants was Michael (Moshe) Kasser, originally from Maryland, who assists Israeli businesses to gain FDA approval, using his expertise gained by working for the FDA before making aliyah.
