The campaign to eliminate the Chief Rabbinate of Israel’s exclusive control over marriage in Israel continues gaining momentum. It began perhaps with the introduction of Tzohar Rabbonim over a decade ago and now, R”L there is growing support for weddings that do not adhere to halacha.

The banner and sign seen in accompanying photos were seen in Jerusalem on Thursday, 24 Nissan as activists are pushing to compel Israel to permit non-religious marriage that would be recognized by the Ministry of the Interior.
