Jerusalem, Israel - Jan. 6, 2016 - A Knesset Caucus to Fight Delegitimization of Israel met for two hours Wednesday morning at the Knesset building in Jerusalem, Israel. Strategic Affairs Minister Gilad Erdan spoke at the event in the standing-room-only filled conference hall.

Members of Knesset Michael Oren, Anat Berko, Nachman Shai, Aliza Lavie, and Robert Ilatov chaired this third meeting on the topic of BDS, Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions and how to counter its affect.

Canadian Prof. Irwin Cotler spoke of the "new global escalating, virulent, even lethal, sophisticated Antisemitism." According to Cotler, we need a new vocabulary to describe this phenomenon, where the right of Israel to exist as an equal member in list of nations is denied. For example, in the United Nations, Cotler said, there were 20 votes against Israel and 4 against rest of world combined.

The four Knesset conference chairs spoke, as did Einat Wilf, who said we need an IIF, Israel Intellectual Force, as well as an IDF, Israel Defense Force. While, Amb. Ron Proser, suggested an Israel Communication Force.

Film maker and French oleh Pierre Rechov showed a clip of his work, Beyond Deception Strategy and suggested that bias in France escalated with the false accusations and staged shooting of 12-year-old Muhammad al-Dura in Gaza in September 2000.

Bassem Eid rose and emphasized BDS is negative and hurts his Palestinian people. Other speakers included, representatives of Christians, students, business and technology.

Concluding speakers with short presentations included, Prof. Gerald Steinberg, Dan Diker, Arsen Ostrovsky, Michael Dickson of StandWithUs and ‎Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, founder of Shurat HaDin.
