The Maryland Department of Health has confirmed another case of measles this week in the Pikesville area, bringing Maryland’s total case count to five.

According to officials, there are no known public exposure locations associated with this case, however, the individual resides in one of the three zip codes previously identified: 21208, 21209 and 21215.

No other information on the fifth case was immediately released.

The MDH said the first and second case is a household contact. Officials said both came in contact with the contagious viral-infection outside of Maryland, in an area with an ongoing outbreak.

It's unclear how the third person contacted the virus and the fourth case visited several specific locations in Pikesville.
