Summary:

At 05.22 this morning several calls were received at the MDA Sharon Region 101 Dispatch Center of a rocket attack on a residence in a village in the Sharon region.

Large numbers of MDA teams, including Medicycles, Ambulances and Mobile Intensive Care Units (MICUs) were immediately dispatched to the scene.

MDA Paramedics and EMTs treated 7 victims with injuries including: A woman in her sixties in moderate condition with blast injuries, minor burns and shrapnel wounds; a woman in her thirties in moderate condition with shrapnel wounds; two men, 60 and 30, as well as a girl aged 12, a 3 year old boy and a year and half old infant who were all lightly injured from shrapnel wounds.

All were evacuated by MDA Ambulances and MICUs to Meir Hospital.

In addition, MDA teams were dispatched to treat a number of patients suffering from shock, as well as two women in their 70s who fell and were lightly injured as they made their way to the bomb shelters. They were conveyed to Laniado Hospital.

MDA Paramedics Ohad Beyn and Assi Dvilanski reported:

"When we arrived we found a scene of destruction. Six members of the family had managed to extricate themselves from the house and told us that they were on their way to the secure room when they heard the explosion and the collapse of part of the building. They left their home, and a number entered the neighboring home. They were all conscious and alert, suffering from minor wounds and burns. We carried out an initial search of the scene and a primary triage, and after initial first aid treatment we conveyed the patients to hospital.
We also treated two women in their 70s who fell on their way to their safe rooms and were lightly injured. They were conveyed to hospital whilst several victims suffering from symptoms of shock were treated at the scene."

MDA Director General, Eli Bin, was at the scene:

"This is a complex incident that miraculously has concluded with only light to moderate injuries. MDA teams that are on standby arrived at the scene in large numbers, and within a few minutes all the victims had been conveyed for further treatment at hospital. MDA continues to remain alert and is prepared to respond to any event. We wish the victims of this incident a speedy recovery."
