Cloudy skies are accompanied by a drop in temperatures in Israel on Sunday, January 13, 2019, with forecasters predicting hazy conditions in the south and center of the country. Rainfall is expected during the afternoon hours in the northern area and on Sunday night, the rainfall is expected to be accompanied by thunder and lightening in the northern areas, and local showers may occur in the center of the country as well. Snowfall is expected on top of Mt. Hermon.

Temperatures throughout Israel on Sunday will range from 7-16C (45-60 F) in Kiryat Shmona, 4-10 (39-50) in Tzefas, 9-17 (48-62) in Tiveria, 11-17 (51-62) Haifa, 12-17 (53-62) in Tel Aviv, 6-11 (42-51) in Jerusalem, and 9-17 (48-62) in Beersheva.

On Monday, thundershowers are expected primarily in the north, and local rainfall in the center. Winds will continue to pick up in intensity and the hazy conditions will increase in the southern areas. Snowfall is expected on Mt. Hermon and the precipitation is expected to taper off towards evening.

Tuesday should bring partly cloudy skies with strong winds without any significant change in temperature. Rainfall may begin during the night, accompanied by thunder and lightning in the north, and possibly make its way to the center. Read more at YWN
