According to journalist Arnon Segal, a young Jewish man, Shlomo Puah, was arrested on the first day of Rosh Hashanah on Har Habayis. It appears he managed to enter the holy site concealing a shofar, which he blew, leading to his arrest.

Segal explains it is the first sound of the shofar heard on Har Habayis in hundreds of years, and Puah joins the ranks of persons arrested for blowing shofar at the Kosel during the time of the British Mandate.

However, according to the head of Lehava, Bentzion Gupstein, explains a resident of the community of Tapuach blew shofar on Har Habayis 25 years ago. Read more at YWN
