Jerusalem, Israel - july 12, 2018 - Israel has seen a record number of tourists in the first half or 2018. Tourism Minister Yariv Levin announced,“The marketing efforts and activities that we are spearheading in the ministry are leading us to new records, as, for the first time, we have crossed the 2 million threshold for tourist entries over the course of half a year."

Jerusalem's new colorful trucks for tourist information were launched at a special ice cream event with Mayor Nir Barkat and Jerusalem Affairs Minister Ze'ev Elkin at Zahal Square. The information trucks will be located near Jaffa Gate and Machane Yehuda Market to provide assistance to tourists.

On sale at the tourist information trucks and from website are the new Jerusalem City Pass cards. With the purchase of the city pass, tourists can ride round-trip from Ben Gurion airport to Jerusalem for free. Use on the light rail trains and Jerusalem city buses is important as Jerusalem bus drivers no longer take money and sell tickets. Free entrance to three Jerusalem museums and reduced entry fees to others are a benefit to card holders.

Cards may be purchased before visit and are good for one week.  According to the website which is available in multiple languages,  you receive everything by email so that you don’t waste time picking it up when you arrive. This means that it’s easier than ever to maximize your precious time in Jerusalem by organizing everything in advance.

  • Skip the line advantages
