Visit delay over visas earned China rebuke from WHO as sensitive investigation about to get under way

A World Health Organization (WHO) team set up to investigate the origins of the COVID-19 coronavirus will begin their China visit from Thursday, the country's authorities said Monday.

The WHO team, comprised of 10 experts, will "conduct joint research cooperation on the origins of Covid-19 with Chinese scientists," China's National Health Commission said.

The team members will have to enter a two-week quarantine upon their arrival to mainland China, which, according to its own official figures, has largely been able to subdue the local epidemic. Read more at i24
