It is with great sadness that we report the petirah of Rabbi Ozer Glickman, z”l, a rosh yeshiva at Yeshivas Rabbeinu Yitzchok Elchonon in New York, where he taught Gemara and halacha to semicha talmidim for the last two decades.

Rabbi Glickman also taught halacha and American legal theory at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.

Rabbi Glickman was a former senior vice president of strategic risk management and global head of corporate treasury for Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and was an expert in investment risk management.

Rabbi Glickman’s talmidim remained extremely devoted to him and to spreading his words of Torah long after leaving his shiur. These talmidim publish a weekly sicha from Rabbi Glickman, which was available by e-mail and online.

Rabbi Glickman received his BA in philosophy from Columbia University and pursued graduate studies in philosophy and religion at the University of Toronto. He also held an MBA in finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University, where he was a University Fellow.

Rabbi Glickman studied in his youth at Yeshivat Merkaz Harav and received semicha from RIETS, as well as from leading rabbonim in Israel and the Diaspora.

Yehi zichro boruch.
