Baltimore, MD - Oct. 29, 2024 - We’ll be losing about two minutes of daylight a day in Maryland from now through Sunday, Nov. 3, when daylight saving time ends — and beyond as winter knocks at the door.
We’ll set clocks back an hour with the end of DST on Nov. 3, returning to a time in Maryland when the sun sets around 5 p.m. By the time the winter solstice rolls around on Dec. 21, we’ll only have 9 hours, 24 minutes and 0 seconds of daylight.
Once we return to standard time, sunrise and sunset will be an hour earlier.
