Baltimore, MD - Aug. 5, 2024 - (WMAR2News) The Department of Public Works (DPW) has announced that trash and recycling collections will be paused on Tuesday, August 6, following the death of a DPW worker from heat exhaustion. Instead, mandatory heat training sessions will be conducted to educate employees on recognizing heat stroke and related illnesses. These sessions are part of DPW's ongoing heat education efforts. Normal duties will resume on Wednesday, August 7.
