Conductors of study say not possible yet to estimate level of protection against coronavirus strain

A study by Clalit Research Center and Tel Aviv University published on Saturday has found that Pfizer's coronavirus vaccine protects less effectively against the South African variant than the British one.

The results showed that the two doses of the Pfizer vaccine provide less protection against the strain of the coronavirus originating in South Africa.

However, at this point, the researchers say that it is not possible to estimate the level of protection that the vaccine offers against the South African mutation.
