"This is indeed an action by Iran, it is clear," the prime minister claimed

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that Iran was responsible for an explosion aboard an Israeli-owned cargo ship sailing through the Gulf of Oman last week.

"This is indeed an action by Iran, it is clear," the prime minister claimed during an interview with Kan radio.

When asked if Israel planned to retaliate he answered: "Iran is the greatest enemy of Israel, I am determined to halt it. We are hitting it in the entire region."

Regarding the coronavirus pandemic, Netanyahu said he was in negotiations with pharmaceutical companies Pfizer and Moderna for the purchase of additional COVID-19 vaccines.

"In six months there will be no more vaccines, but the coronavirus could manifest itself again and leading to an endless series of lockdowns." 

"I am therefore currently in negotiations with Pfizer and Moderna to provide vaccines that will protect against new mutations," he announced. Read more at i24
