A Hezbollah-affiliated hacker group, known as “The Cedars of Lebanon,” carried out a cyberattack against a slew of Israeli firms as well as telecommunication and Internet service provider companies in the US, UK and the Middle East, Israel’s public broadcaster Kan reported on Thursday.

The group used vulnerabilities identified on servers of software giants Oracle and Atlasian, according to Kan.

A study by the cyber defense company ClearSky Cyber Security revealed the extensive activities of the cyber unit linked to Hezbollah.
