Linda Thomas-Greenfield says BDS conduct 'verges on anti-Semitic,' vows to deny it a voice in UN

Linda Thomas-Greenfield, US President Joe Biden's pick for the role of US envoy to the United Nations, condemned the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement during her confirmation hearing in the Senate on Wednesday.

“I find the actions and the approach that BDS has taken toward Israel as unacceptable," Thomas-Greenfield said, adding that it "verges on anti-Semitic."

She stressed that the group must not be allowed to exercise any sway within the international body and vowed to work to derail its UN outreach efforts.

A former US assistant secretary with the Bureau of African Affairs, Thomas-Greenfield does not appear to have much of a record on Israel. Read more at i24
