Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby's office on Thursday asked the city inspector general to reach a conclusion on an investigation into her work-related travel and financial disclosures.

"Believing that your investigation would be expeditious, this office has denied several media inquiries, which would have refuted allegations of wrongdoing on the part of the state’s attorney months ago," wrote Erin Murphy, chief counsel to the state's attorney's office.

The investigation was opened six months ago at Mosby's own request after media reports of her outside income and trips.

Murphy stressed the level of cooperation Mosby's office has provided to investigators, including a log of every work-related trip she has taken in the past three years, email records, expense reports and Mosby's personal financial records. Mosby has offered to personally sit for an interview with Inspector General Isabel Mercedes Cumming's office, but investigators have not taken her up on that, Murphy wrote. Read more at WBAL
