Baltimore, MD - Nov. 15, 2019 - The Baltimore Shabbat Project is running 2 campaigns this year for Shabbat.  They reached out to over 20 organizations/schools including  McDonogh, Bnos Yisroel, Bais Yaakov, Bryn Mawr, Hillcrest Elem, Reisterstown Elem, Pinewood Elem, Beth El, Summit Park Elem, Boys Latin, Fort Garrison Elem, Park School, Ohr Chadash, Talmudical Academy, Jewels, Toras Simcha,Krieger Schechter Day School, Gesher LaTorah, Beth Tfiloh, Darchei Noam, Bolton Street Synagogue, Ner Tamid Montessori and Girls Chesed League.

We sent over 1000 Shabbat Kits to Israeli soldiers so they could #ShareTheLight with the world as they light candles this Shabbos.  Miriam Adani from Kever Rochel, who had this initial idea, was the point person to distribute the candles.  She commented: "you have no idea how much simcha and love you gave to the soldiers. They will light the candles this Shabbat and some of them said they will light NEXT shabbat!"

Patty Leve, from Baltimore, with her mother assisted.  Pictures are worth a thousand words.  Thank you to Center for Jewish Education for donating the cards with the Blessing in Hebrew and a special thank you to Sam Wach for helping with all the details to make this happen.  It's not too late to participate.  What can you do to #ShareTheLight this Shabbos?

BSP also collected 1300 Shabbat Shalom cards to be distributed today for local senior citizens.  The cards are so special. Each one is unique and the children of this community are incredible.  A special thank you to Sherri Zaslow for organizing all the places for deliveries.  You can be a part of this initiative.  #ReachOutandConnect to your friends, neighbors, family and let them know you're thinking about them.  It means so much.

There are lots of events this Shabbos around the community.  Check out www.BaltimoreShabbatProject.org for a listing of all the events.  Join in:)
