A person was trapped about 20 feet down a manhole Monday afternoon after a partial collapse in downtown Baltimore, city fire officials told 11 News.

The Fire Department's Confined Space Rescue Team was called around 2:40 p.m. to an area around Howard and Pratt streets.

Fire officials said the person was removed from the manhole and was alert and conscious.

Paramedics took the person to Shock Trauma with serious injuries.
