Rabbis Decry AirBNB Anti-Semitic Delisting of Jewish Properties

Baltimore, MD, Nov. 19, 2018 — Responding to news that AirBNB would no longer permit listings by Jewish property owners in Judea and Samaria, Rabbi Pesach Lerner, President of the Coalition for Jewish Values, issued the following comment:

"AirBNB supports listings in areas held by totalitarian governments, including the Gaza Strip, and in areas of unquestioned occupation such as Chechnya and the Western Sahara. It also permits listings in an area it describes as 'Palestine.' The only thing unique to the homes AirBNB now refuses to list is that they are owned by Jews, so their claim that this is anything other than anti-Semitic racism is an utter farce."

The Coalition for Jewish Values (CJV), the largest rabbinic public policy organization in America, articulates and advocates for public policy positions based upon traditional Jewish thought.
